Weapons define normal attacks and the Weapon Art available to a build. Loadouts support a one-handed Weapon with a Shield and a separate Polearm, while each item can differ in Quality, stats, and Boons.
Weapon Setups
One-handed Weapon and Shield
This setup pairs a one-handed moveset with dedicated defensive attributes from a Shield. It is the clearest foundation for a defense-focused build.
Two-handed Weapon
A two-handed Weapon occupies its own slot and supports a separate moveset and Weapon Art. Exact speed, range, and damage differences vary by Weapon and still need hands-on testing.
Weapon Arts
Every Weapon Art has its own cooldown and gives the Weapon options beyond standard attacks. Official AMA information confirms projectile and radial Arts, while status-focused Arts can support builds such as Freeze.
Two copies of a similar Weapon can serve different builds if their Arts or attached Boons differ.

Quality and Upgrades
Equipment Quality has five levels: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Weapon Quality primarily increases Attack Power and may also strengthen Boons that scale with Quality.
Purifying a newly discovered item adds a Common Tier version to the Armory. Gold can then upgrade its permanent minimum tier: Uncommon unlocks at level 2, Rare at level 4, and Epic at level 12.
