What is Crimson Moon?

Crimson Moon is a Gothic action-adventure RPG built around replayable Hunts, Souls-inspired melee combat, classless builds, and permanent Gear progression.

Can I play Crimson Moon solo or in co-op?

You can complete the full game solo or play in two-player online co-op. Co-op supports full cross-platform play on supported platforms.

Does Crimson Moon have traditional classes?

No. Your Gear, Weapon Arts, Boons, and chosen Angel define the build you take into each Hunt, so you can change playstyles between Runs.

What happens when a Run fails?

You keep collected XP, levels, unlocks, Lore Scrolls, some Souls, and Gear secured through a Nexus Gate. Bonus rewards, some Souls, unsecured loot, and found Consumables are lost.

How do I keep Gear between Hunts?

Carry equipped or stored Gear through a Nexus Gate or complete the Mission. Secured Gear returns in purified form and becomes available from the Armory.

How do Wards and Missions work?

A Ward contains a sequence of repeatable Missions with objectives, enemies, secrets, loot, and a powerful boss at the end. You select these assignments from the hub and complete them during a Hunt.

Does higher difficulty give better loot?

Yes. Higher difficulty increases XP and improves the minimum and maximum Gear Quality available from drops. Exact tier details have not yet been published.
